China Statutory Tax Finance Manager
This role is critical as it plays a vital role in overseeing statutory tax operation, ensure on time accurate tax filling and tax compliance across all China entities. This role is also in charge global projects landing in China, design/land new business model, drive standardization meanwhile ensure it is in compliance with China statutory tax regulations.
For all legal entities in the country including JV impacting MS financial statements:
▪Accountable for accurate and timely tax filings, including indirect taxes
Partner with ROC COE to effectively manager external audit relationship. Support audits from local tax authorities or other government agencies
▪Tax Management and forecasting.
▪Where applicable, support & educate the business on tax model (commissioned agent v Mini-ROC and LRD)
Monitor, review, and oversee the outsource vendors services quality and improve ROI (i.e. E&Y, Deloitte)
▪Land global projects in country of operation, and country-driven expansions, with proper financial infrastructure and stat registration in compliance with local accounting, tax regulations & MS global processes
▪Drive creation and closure of statutory entities as required, ensure legal entities have appropriate representatives/POA and drive changes as required
▪Identify all non-standard management transactions (cross-charges transactions, accruals, commission changes) and review their statutory tax implications before any decision to proceed
▪Communicate to Corp tax any important changes in local tax legislation that could affect MS business model (e.g. changes in local Transfer pricing legislation)
▪Maintain local transfer Pricing file in line w/ local legislation and in collaboration with Corp tax team
On time accurate tax filling.
▪Successfully implement local statutory and tax changes
▪Tax compliance.Proactively collaborate with key partners to early flag and escalate risks and issues
Green statutory audit (where applicable)
▪Strong collocation with all stakeholder to land WW projects in compliance with local statuary tax regulations
▪Drive Digitization in S&T area.
- Sound and keep up to date tax knowledge which impact MNC business.
- Good understanding of MS TP policies and how it is applied in China legal entities.
- Solution capability in helping design and landing of complex new business models.
- Local linguistic skills and Strong collaboration/communication skill
