The Role

Council is seeking to appoint a visionary leader and strategic thinker, capable of driving outcomes through high performing teams whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.

You will provide strong, responsive leadership, actively motivating and unifying the team to be a highly proactive service provider while effectively managing Asset Management, Facilities Management and Road Maintenance services in the implementation of Council’s asset management strategies.

Exceptional communication skills including the ability to negotiate good outcomes, an appreciation of political sensitivities, and the ability to successfully coach and develop staff to reach their full potential will be the foundations for success in this role.

This key leadership role requires dynamic and collaborative management skills, the ability to build capabilities of the team, budget management, and demonstrated experience in the efficient management of operations and contracts for Recreation services.

It is important to note that the Community Assets team is undergoing an exciting transformation which may impact the responsibilities of this role.

As such, adaptability and change management expertise will be highly regarded.
